So I'd like to share this passion with some of you! This year CincyBurb has a chance to Adopt a Garden Plot in Mason. Whole Foods Mason and Marvin's Organic Gardens are sponsoring plots and I'm looking for a few folks to help me keep it up. We can apply for a plot, and if we're selected there will be an orientation March 10th at 10 a.m. Here's a little more info from Whole Foods:
The community garden is located at Kingswood Park; 4188 Irwin Simpson Road in Mason. The idea is that each organization will adopt a 4x4 bed in which you will help plant and do all watering, weeding, pruning, and maintaining of the garden and the yielded produce. Once the produce has been harvested, it will be at the discretion of the organization on how much you would like to donate back to the local food pantry. The intentions are to track the pounds of produce donated to measure the impact had on giving back to the community.I'd like to get a group of at least five so we can divide up responsibilities without leaving the burden too much on anyone. I already have one taker besides myself.
If you are interested in taking part, please comment here or email me at writeupcreativecopy (at) gmail (dot) com. It would be great to meet some of you in person, have fun, get some fresh veggies, and give back to the community!
It's a win-win-win-win!

Depending on the time amount needed this could be possible... do we get to design it ourselves too?
I've been told it needs to be tended three times a week, if I get enough people, that could be once a week for everyone. It's 4 x 4 plot.
nice
Thanks for sharing this awesome opportunity with us. I can't wait to flex my green thumb. I wonder if they'll allow garden weed control in their plots.
